After successfully passing two other state bar exams on the first try, it was surprising to have to repeat the California bar. But Belia’s feedback and tips on my writing for the Simulation Program made the difference and I passed the second time, only after receiving her help. The additional essays and feedback she provides in the Program allows you to immediately apply her advice and suggestions so that they become the standard for your answers. She clearly described how the California bar exam is different than other state bar exams and explained what the examiner is looking for in my essays. She guided me on how to spend my time on the essays, showing me how to efficiently get the passing points from the bar grader. The most important thing is that it worked.

I took the bar for the first time in February 2007. To be honest, my writing the first time around was terrible. I had little to no analysis in my answers, which is what the graders are looking for. Needless to say, I didn’t pass the bar the first time. However, after working with Belia, my writing improved dramatically. She taught me the importance of organization and strict adherence to the IRAC formula. Specifically, she taught me how to mix in the facts with the law and produce an essay the graders would look at and consider a passing answer.
The Simulation Program gave me a feel of what the actual exam was going to be like. The exams were graded just like they would be on the bar exam with excellent feedback and suggestions provided by Belia. The bottom line is that good writing and analysis is essential to passing the bar. Belia’s techniques are proven and work. If she can turn my writing around, she can do it for anyone. With her instruction, constructive comments on my essays and encouragement I was able to pass the bar in July of 2008.

I passed the July bar and I thank Belia- Eugenia Bennett for that. Belia's insightful direction and constant support gave me the knowledge and the confidence to write passing essays and performance tests. Whether you are a repeat-taker or are facing the bar exam for the first time, Belia's one-on-one coaching and her discriminating feedback will enhance the substantive law you already know. With Belia's balanced approach to writing, I learned to spot and analyze the issues and apply the substantive law with a skill that got the bar grader's attention. After spending so much time and money on law school, it takes that final step to Raise The Bar. There's no greater thrill than seeing your name on the bar pass list!

I worked with Belia during the summer 2007 bar season. It was my third time preparing for the California Bar Exam. I graduated from UC Davis in 2004, was fairly successful in law school, and knew that I had the intelligence to pass the exam. However, I was obviously missing a few key points in order to write a successful exam.
I reviewed several personal bar tutoring programs. I chose to work with Belia because of her no-nonsense approach to the tutorial program. The basis of the program focused on individualized feedback and a personal identification of my weaknesses. In short, Belia was amazing. I prepared dozens of full-length essays and 4 full length performance tests. And I received extensive feedback on each assignment. I was confident in Belia's capabilities because she is a former bar grader and knows exactly what the graders expect to find on a passing exam.
In addition to Belia's feedback on my essays, she was also a straightforward resource for explaining difficult/confusing legal concepts and distilling the law into simple rule statements. The amount of knowledge that she has regarding the bar subjects is simply amazing. I strongly recommend this bar prep program for anyone who is looking for a personalized approach to passing the California Bar Exam.

After taking Belia’s writing tutorial I passed the California bar exam and finally understood what it takes to make it on the pass list. Belia’s experience as a bar grader, knowledge of the law, and one-on-one instruction makes her services a clear cut above any program that you may have used or are thinking about using.
First, you will receive a balanced study schedule that exposes you to each bar subject to help reinforce your substantive knowledge of the law, but affords you enough time to focus on any areas of concern. Belia will provide you with useful feedback on your simulated essays that go beyond mere grading scales and basic commenting – she makes sure you understand what your weaknesses are and how to correct common exam writing mistakes. At your previously arranged meetings, Belia will help you identify the keys to organizing and writing a passing essay on time, every time! And, with your own personal effort and Belia’s invaluable insights you will see a major difference in your legal and factual analysis which will also improve your PT’s.
While there are no bar exam tricks or shortcuts – Belia has found a way to help students pass by making them become stronger writers and better overall test takers. More importantly, she is a good person that sincerely wants to see you pass.
In my experience, you will feel confident in your preparation and more than ready to take the exam by the end of your tutorial. If you are ready to pass the bar exam – you should sign up.
